Yorkshire Wolds as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
A part of the Yorkshire Wolds has been proposed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in May this year. The first stage of consultation has now ended and it’s now up to Natural England whether the Wolds should get the protection – we certainly think they should!
The Yorkshire Wolds forms an area of large rolling hills and valleys of largely agricultural farmland which creates spectacular views. The Wolds stretch from the Humber Estuary across to the picturesque market towns of Pocklington and Malton and then back around to the steep coastal cliffs of Hunmanby and Flamborough.
The Barn is lucky to sit high on the Wolds overlooking a part of the stunning landscape.
